Security Engineer – Network & Security Infrastructure

About the role

Our client, a Government Institution in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Security Engineer to manage and secure its network and application environments. The role ensures that network and security systems are aligned with MI requirements, policies, standards and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support MI network and security infrastructure, including Juniper firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN and related tools.
• Manage Cisco ASA, ISE and associated monitoring tools.
• Administer Cisco network equipment across core, distribution and access layers.
• Coordinate with IT Service Desk, Infrastructure and Information Security teams for operations and support.
• Log cases, follow up with vendors, arrange hardware replacements and dispatch failed components.
• Monitor system performance, assess vulnerabilities and intrusions, and apply patches, feature releases and upgrades.
• Execute configuration changes (Move, Add, Change, Delete) per change control procedures.
• Document network and security issues and resolutions, and implement measures to protect against unauthorized intrusions.

Required profile

• Preferably an Emirati national.

Required skills

• Proficiency in network architectures and topologies.
• Experience supporting network security in mission‑critical enterprise environments.
• Extensive knowledge of Juniper (IDP, SRX) and Cisco (ASA, ISE, Nexus switches) technologies.
• Expertise in network security across network, virtualization, operating system, file/directory and user account levels.
