Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable Lead

About the role

As the Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable Lead, you will oversee the end‑to‑end AP function for AESG’s Dubai office, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and vendors are paid on time while maintaining strong creditor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, petty cash and expense reports in compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements, monitor aging reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor and employee inquiries related to payments and AP.
• Prepare payment vouchers and supporting documentation for payment runs.
• Maintain detailed AP records for audit and reporting purposes.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including account reconciliation.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice validation and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with basic VAT regulations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software.
