Senior Accountant AR

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Accounts Receivable (AR) is responsible for managing aeronautical and non‑aeronautical receivables, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and reliable financial reporting. You will work closely with airlines, ground handlers and internal finance teams to safeguard revenue integrity and minimise credit risk.

Key responsibilities

• Review, validate and approve invoices and credit notes across automated, manual, inter‑company and subsidiary transactions.
• Ensure timely billing, receipt allocation and account reconciliation in the Fusion Billing System.
• Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers and revenue assurance teams to resolve billing disputes and account discrepancies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer profiles in Fusion Billing for ADAC and subsidiaries.
• Support monthly soft and hard close activities, including accruals, provisions and revenue adjustments.
• Monitor ageing reports, chase overdue balances and prepare periodic AR and ageing analysis reports.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing documentation, reconciliations and explanations.
• Identify and drive process improvements, automation opportunities and system enhancements.
• Mentor junior accountants and AR team members on procedures and service standards.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in aviation or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards and internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to analyse complex billing issues and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
