About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team. The role will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, oversee property‑related expenses and ensure contract and compliance management. Reporting to the Finance Manager and Head of Finance, the successful candidate will own critical operational workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Track and record all incoming rental payments, update tenant ledgers, and manage rental cheques securely.
  • Maintain unit‑wise expense tracking and oversee building‑related expenditures, ensuring cost control.
  • Initiate, review, and issue purchase orders in line with budget guidelines.
  • Monitor and reconcile petty cash disbursements and balances.
  • Track and manage operational and vendor contracts, ensuring timely renewals.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date contractor KYC documentation, including trade licences and VAT certificates.
  • Serve as primary contact for vendor billing queries and documentation updates.
  • Draft and issue broker commission invoices and track payments.
  • Handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping, journal entries, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with monthly closing, expense analysis and audit preparation.

Required profile

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CMA, CPA or ACCA.
  • 15‑18 years of overall experience, with at least 10 years in UAE property management, real estate or facilities management.
  • Proven experience with purchase‑order systems, contract compliance and vendor KYC documentation.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, SAP or industry‑specific property management software).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of local tax regulations, including VAT filings and compliance.
  • Ability to prepare journal entries, manage accounts payable/receivable and perform expense analysis.
