Senior Accountant (Dubai)

About the role

eliteUSA is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Dubai office. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoicing and expenses, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting and VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Record and categorize income, expenses, payments, refunds and other transactions.
• Prepare, issue and maintain customer and supplier invoices.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, following up on outstanding balances.
• Collect invoices, receipts, expense reports and supporting documentation from team members and department managers.
• Perform regular bank, credit‑card, payment‑processor and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate records within QuickBooks.
• Prepare monthly financial reports including profit & loss, balance sheet, cash‑flow, AR/AP, expense and budget vs. actual reports.
• Assist management with financial analysis, budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring and planning.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, prepare VAT calculations and support VAT return filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and other financial service providers.
• Identify discrepancies or unusual transactions and report them to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (required).
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/Dubai VAT regulations and accounting requirements.
• Proven experience with invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management and bank reconciliations.
