Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets

About the role

ADNOC is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the accounting of its headquarters fixed assets. The role ensures that asset registers, depreciation, and related financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile fixed‑asset registers for ADNOC HQ, handling additions, disposals and transfers.
• Document monthly depreciation, run depreciation processes and post results to the General Ledger.
• Review system interface reports for consistency and reasonableness of data received from Group Companies.
• Reconcile HQ asset registers with those of Group Companies and maintain capital work‑in‑progress records.
• Prepare annual fixed‑asset schedules supporting the balance sheet and profit & loss statements.
• Develop and follow physical inventory procedures, participate in inventories and reconcile results with registers.
• Produce schedules for financial statements, internal reporting and external audit requirements.
• Assist in implementing audit‑driven action plans and identify process improvements for greater efficiency.
• Prepare progress reports for senior management and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in fixed‑asset accounting or a similar finance function.
• Strong knowledge of asset register maintenance, depreciation methods and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate accounting activities.
• Experience preparing schedules for auditors and supporting audit processes.
