Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will ensure accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting for Carter & White across its head office, retail stores, production facilities, warehouses, e‑commerce platforms and regional entities. Based in Dubai, the role provides regional coverage and requires close collaboration with operations, procurement, HR and management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting transactions and maintain the integrity of the General Ledger.
• Prepare, generate and review monthly trial balances for assigned legal entities, ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and fixed‑asset depreciation.
• Oversee intercompany accounting, perform monthly reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate accounting activities for regional entities, support statutory accounts, audits and group consolidation.
• Maintain accurate inventory, production and product‑costing records, and ensure consistent accounting policies across all entities.

Required profile

• Hands‑on senior‑level accountant with extensive experience in trial balance preparation, general ledger management and multi‑store retail accounting.
• Proven ability to handle inventory, production, product costing, AP/AR, intercompany and taxation matters.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end closing processes and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with regional teams, auditors and tax advisers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP accounting modules.
• Experience in trial balance preparation and review.
• Solid understanding of general ledger, fixed‑asset management and depreciation schedules.
• Capability to manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
