Senior Accountant – Transformation (Finance)

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Transformation will support Al-Futtaim's GBS Finance transformation agenda. The role coordinates governance processes, prepares review decks and maintains action trackers, enabling automation and IT initiatives across finance workstreams in the UAE and Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Monthly Operations Review (MOR) and Divisional Review Meeting (DRM) decks, consolidating executive updates, KPI scorecards and controlling matters into board‑ready format.
• Capture and circulate meeting minutes and agreed actions, ensuring alignment with divisional CFOs and tower heads.
• Coordinate the monthly governance calendar across all divisions, managing schedules, invites and logistics.
• Build and maintain consolidated action trackers with owners, due dates, RAG status, dependencies and context, driving items to closure.
• Track completion rates, categorize items by impact, escalate overdue or blocked actions and report status in MOR/DRM cadence.
• Proactively follow up with GBS Finance and Business/Divisional Finance owners to obtain timely updates and evidence of closure.
• Support pre‑closure and post‑closure reporting inputs for MOR/DRM packs, including KPI dashboards and service delivery scorecards.

Required profile

• UAE national with a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a transformation or shared‑services environment.
• Strong understanding of finance governance processes and KPI reporting.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables across UAE and Egypt.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.

• Project‑management fundamentals for tracking actions and timelines.
