Senior AI Engineer

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join its AI/Computer Vision team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on designing and delivering next‑generation AI solutions for real‑time, embedded and autonomous systems used in aerospace and defence programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate AI/ML and computer‑vision algorithms for edge platforms.
• Implement object detection, tracking, recognition and classification pipelines.
• Work on video analytics, sensor fusion, navigation and autonomous system integration.
• Produce production‑quality software in C++ and Python and optimise models for GPU and edge hardware.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to system architecture and major programme milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or related field.
• 8–10+ years of hands‑on engineering experience with AI/ML and computer vision.
• Strong software development background in C++ and Python on Linux.
• Experience taking AI solutions from development through integration and production deployment.

Required skills

• Deep‑learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Embedded and real‑time systems, GPU optimisation (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson).
• ROS2, Linux, Git, Docker.
• Sensor fusion, autonomous navigation, reinforcement learning.
