Senior Analyst, Customer Due Diligence

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for a Senior Analyst of Customer Due Diligence to join its Risk Operations team in Dubai. You will manage the regional due diligence portfolio and act as the regional escalation point for complex, enhanced due diligence reviews. The role reports directly to the Head of Due Diligence based in London and requires a fluent native Arabic speaker to deal with local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the regional Customer Due Diligence specialist for the MENA region
• Serve as the primary escalation point for Enhanced Due Diligence reviews, resolving complex issues and questions from analysts
• Manage the relationship with the regional Money Laundering Reporting Officer and review and approve escalations or decisions made by analysts
• Oversee completion metrics of the MENA portfolio review and conduct quality control checks on reviews, assessments and reports
• Collaborate with the Underwriting team on complex onboarding issues and lead tactical projects from start to finish
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains at regional and global levels
• Represent the team in internal and external regional audits and mentor and coach analysts

Required profile

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Demonstrable knowledge of Enhanced Due Diligence concepts and processes
• Fluent native Arabic
• Experience managing regulatory requirements and participating in audits; audit and compliance experience preferred
• Knowledge of payment industry regulations, standards and best practices preferred
