Senior Applications Engineer – Well Construction

About the role

The Senior Applications Engineer – Well Construction will act as the technical subject‑matter expert for drilling and completions operations in the UAE region. Reporting to the Regional Sales & Operations team, you will support customers, guide internal engineering groups and ensure the right tools are selected for each well‑construction project.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑run analysis of drilling and well‑construction applications, identify challenges, model solutions and assess benefits.
• Represent the company as technical expert on daily operations calls, deliver presentations and respond to technical requests.
• Support product‑line teams with new‑technology implementation, modelling and field assistance.
• Review and revise product designs in collaboration with design engineering.
• Prepare technical proposals integrating analysis results, solution descriptions and operational recommendations.
• Validate purchase orders to ensure correct tool selection.
• Perform detailed post‑run investigations to evaluate technology performance and overall operational efficiency.
• Create case‑study material for sales and technical marketing.
• Maintain operational run reports, ensure data integrity and support field service engineers on‑site when required.
• Deliver technical training to sales, operations and agency teams and provide feedback to engineering for product development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in drilling, completions or well‑construction engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to model and evaluate technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and support field operations in the UAE.
