Senior Architect (Technical)

About the role

WSP Middle East is seeking a dynamic Senior Architect (Technical) to join its Technical Architecture Team within the Property & Buildings Business Unit in Dubai. The role involves leading technical design and delivery for high‑profile, multi‑disciplinary projects across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of architectural projects from concept through construction, preparing and reviewing detailed design packages, drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, MEP, landscape, interior design and specialist consultants to ensure design compliance with local regulations and international codes.
• Support BIM implementation, review shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs and construction‑stage technical queries, and drive quality assurance across deliverables.
• Mentor junior architects and technical team members, fostering technical excellence and design consistency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of professional architectural experience with a strong focus on technical design and project delivery.
• Proven experience in a leading architecture, engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy, preferably with Middle East project exposure.
• Excellent coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills.
