Senior Associate – External Audit (IPSAS) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

As a Senior Associate in External Audit, you will lead end‑to‑end audit engagements for public sector clients, ensuring compliance with IPSAS standards while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of client engagements from planning through completion.
• Prepare and review work papers, draft financial statements and client deliverables.
• Draft management reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Participate in audit planning discussions to identify risks and design audit strategies.
• Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns throughout the audit process.
• Leverage artificial intelligence, advanced analytics and data visualisation tools to enhance audit efficiency.
• Engage proactively with clients, offering strategic recommendations for improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends through continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Proven experience on complex audits, including group audits.
• Comfortable using audit software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong technical accounting expertise with mandatory IPSAS knowledge.
• Ability to lead projects, supervise staff and manage workloads.
• Willingness to work additional hours and travel as required.
