Senior Associate - UAE Tax

About the role

The Senior Associate will support our UAE Tax practice by delivering high‑quality VAT and corporate tax services to a diverse client base. You will work closely with senior managers and the Federal Tax Authority to ensure compliance and add value to client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Review VAT data, transaction listings, invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Organise and maintain tax documentation required for VAT returns, refund applications and FTA submissions.
• Prepare VAT workings, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Prepare and submit VAT refund applications.
• Liaise with the Federal Tax Authority on client matters, queries and clarifications.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of annual UAE Corporate Tax returns.
• Advise clients on routine tax queries related to VAT, Corporate Tax and other tax matters.
• Prepare tax memos, briefs, technical notes, presentations and client deliverables.
• Assist clients in the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Monitor changes in the UAE tax landscape.
• Deputise for management when required, including supervising junior team members.

Required profile

• CA Finalist or ACCA Finalist.
• Completed articleship from a reputable Category A firm.
• Minimum 3 years of tax experience, with at least 2 years in indirect taxes.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax is highly preferable.
• Strong drafting skills for tax memos, briefs and client communications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
