Senior Audit & Assurance – UAE (Abu Dhabi/Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior professional to join Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice in the United Arab Emirates, based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit services to our clients, building trust with stakeholders and supporting the firm’s commitment to audit excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their service expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services while applying knowledge of regulation and risk management.
• Gather and analyse key statistics and industry information before engagements.
• Adapt template referral instructions to define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence, providing accurate information and managing delegated work.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and assess their relevance.
• Link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file in a timely manner.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and ensure they are met throughout the engagement.
• Challenge audit plan timings and propose improvements where appropriate.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to deepen understanding of the client’s business.

Required profile

• Professional experience as a senior auditor within a large professional services firm.
• Strong understanding of audit regulations, risk management and business processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both onshore and offshore teams.
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing audit quality issues.
• Capability to build relationships across multiple functions within client organisations.
