Senior Backend Engineer (C# / AWS) – Fintech

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our customer onboarding squad in Abu Dhabi. You will own the core backend services that drive registration, identity verification, compliance checks and account activation for a fast‑growing fintech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable C#/.NET backend services that power the onboarding experience.
• Own the full feature lifecycle from architecture decisions to production deployment.
• Collaborate with product, compliance and frontend teams to deliver a seamless flow.
• Integrate third‑party KYC, AML and identity verification providers.
• Ensure performance, security and reliability of services on AWS.
• Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews and technical direction.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong C# and .NET expertise.
• Solid hands‑on experience with core AWS services (Lambda, RDS, SQS, S3, API Gateway).
• Background building financial or regulated platforms (fintech, banking, payments).
• Understanding of KYC/AML or customer onboarding flows is a strong advantage.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, REST APIs and event‑driven architecture.
• Proactive ownership, clear communication and a focus on quality.
