Senior Construction Supervisor – MEP

About the role

The Senior Construction Supervisor – MEP will lead and coordinate all piping construction activities for oil and gas projects on an onshore site in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe, efficient and high‑quality execution in line with project specifications, engineering drawings and approved procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all piping installation and erection for onshore and offshore facilities, ensuring compliance with IFC drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Coordinate piping work with civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning teams.
• Monitor daily construction progress, verify correct installation of pipe supports, spools, valves, fittings and specialty items.
• Manage contractor and subcontractor teams, ensuring availability of manpower, tools, equipment and materials.
• Review work packs, construction schedules and fabrication priorities; resolve site‑related issues and obtain engineering clarifications.
• Interface with vendors and technical specialists regarding piping systems and equipment connections.
• Oversee welding activities, ensuring adherence to approved WPS/PQR and project specifications.
• Coordinate hydrostatic, pneumatic, flushing and air‑blowing tests, as well as pre‑commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Extensive on‑site experience in MEGA EPC projects within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong background in MEP and piping construction, with proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams.
• In‑depth knowledge of safety standards, quality control procedures and project documentation.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight schedules.
