Senior Corporate Governance Manager

About the role

The Senior Corporate Governance Manager will lead the governance, compliance, KYC and ESG agenda for a major energy organisation in Dubai. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures the company meets regulatory standards while driving sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the corporate governance function, including board processes, committee structures and delegated authority models.
• Oversee compliance programmes covering sanctions, AML, KYC, anti‑bribery and conduct risk.
• Drive ESG strategy, sustainability reporting and responsible trading initiatives.
• Partner with regulators, auditors, investors, banks and senior executives to strengthen risk management.
• Champion an ethical culture and continuous improvement of governance standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate governance, compliance, company secretarial or related functions, with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, board governance and regulatory frameworks in a regulated sector.
• Proven track record in ESG strategy, sustainability reporting and senior stakeholder engagement.
