Senior Cost Accountant – Construction Projects

About the role

As a Senior Cost Accountant at ALEC Holdings, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate cost controls, monitoring project profitability, and providing financial insights that drive cost efficiency across large‑scale construction developments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and review standard and actual costing for manufactured and construction products.
• Validate Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, labour rates and manufacturing overhead rates.
• Perform detailed material, labour and overhead variance analysis and identify key cost drivers.
• Support project budgeting, financial exposure assessment and profitability tracking for site and corporate operations.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial and Finance teams to ensure data integrity and timely cost reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction cost engineering or cost accounting, preferably within large‑scale development projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of delivering actionable financial insights.
• Excellent communication skills to influence site management and project directors.
