Senior Cost Control Engineer – Project Finance

About the role

The Senior Cost Control Engineer will support the financial performance of major capital projects by establishing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and delivering accurate cost forecasts. This role is critical for enabling data‑driven decisions across EPC and oil‑&‑gas initiatives in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project cost budgets and baseline models.
• Monitor actual costs, commitments, and forecasts against approved budgets.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and estimate‑at‑completion (EAC) forecasts.
• Review and validate contractor invoices, variations, and other cost‑related contract items.
• Track change requests and incorporate approved changes into project budgets.
• Support risk reviews by identifying cost impacts and trends.
• Ensure compliance with internal cost‑control procedures and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in project cost control, preferably in oil & gas/EPC environments.
• Professional certifications such as AACEI CCP or PMP are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cost management tools: SAP, Oracle, EcoSys.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office capabilities.
• Data analytics and Power BI reporting expertise.
