Senior Counter Services Specialist

About the role

The Senior Counter Services Specialist will perform all financial transactions in a risk‑free manner while maintaining service standards, and will act as the primary counter operator at the Muraqabat branch, stepping in for the Customer Service Manager when absent.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cash‑counter transactions for a branch serving over 7,000 customers with AED 100 M in assets and AED 200 M in liabilities.
• Process all counter transactions accurately, swiftly, and in accordance with established procedures.
• Reduce customer wait and service time through efficient processing.
• Ensure zero cash differences by diligently handling all cash movements.
• Monitor for potential fraud, report suspicious activity, and seek supervisor guidance when needed.
• Adhere to transaction limits, override approvals, and callback processes.
• Investigate and resolve any cash‑balancing discrepancies following standard scrutiny procedures.
• Assist the Customer Service Manager with day‑to‑day transactional and branch activities.
• Implement Head Office policy changes promptly and maintain a 100 % mystery‑shopper score.
• Cross‑sell MMC and other banking products while safeguarding security items related to counter transactions.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of counter‑related processes and basic accounting/reporting concepts.
• 3–4 years of teller experience within the banking industry.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, with high attention to detail and vigilance.
• Enthusiastic approach to routine work and ability to handle numbers quickly.
