Senior Curator of Reptiles and Amphibians

About the role

Miral Experiences is seeking a Senior Curator of Reptiles and Amphibians to lead the strategic development and management of its herpetological collection. The role combines scientific expertise with operational leadership to ensure animal welfare, conservation breeding, and visitor engagement across our world‑class attractions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the reptile and amphibian collection, including species acquisition, husbandry, and conservation programs.
• Oversee animal welfare, nutrition, reproductive biology, and health in close collaboration with veterinary teams.
• Develop and implement breeding and population management plans for threatened species.
• Lead exhibit design, safety protocols, and staff training for herpetology teams.
• Participate in regional and international One Plan Conservation initiatives.
• Drive scientific research, data collection, and publication related to the collection.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in herpetology, wildlife management, or related conservation fields.
• Proven leadership in managing complex animal collections and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of environmental management, reproductive biology, and species‑specific husbandry.
• Ability to work collaboratively with veterinary, research, and operations partners.
