Senior Data Scientist

About the role

AIQ is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Oil & Gas team, focusing on upstream optimization. You will turn large, complex datasets into actionable insights and develop AI‑driven solutions that improve oil production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate data‑driven algorithms for regression, classification, segmentation and other tasks using state‑of‑the‑art AI techniques.
• Prototype and assess LLM‑based and multimodal models for document understanding, knowledge extraction and workflow automation.
• Implement end‑to‑end AI pipelines, from data preparation and cleaning to model deployment and production monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI‑enabled software products into oil‑field operations.
• Deliver clear, data‑backed recommendations to improve production management and operational performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior data scientist, preferably in the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning and optimization techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale data processing and production‑grade model deployment.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, domain experts and business stakeholders.
