Senior Design Team Lead (Electrical)

About the role

HDR is seeking a senior professional to lead its electrical design team in Dubai. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on technical oversight to deliver complex building electrical systems across multidisciplinary projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical design teams on multiple projects, providing technical direction, mentoring and performance oversight.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers and digital delivery teams as the primary electrical design lead.
• Plan, execute and deliver electrical design packages, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
• Oversee design and coordination of power distribution, lighting, grounding, low‑voltage, communications and life‑safety systems.
• Review and approve calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings and construction documents for code compliance.
• Resolve multidisciplinary conflicts between electrical, mechanical, structural and architectural systems.
• Establish and maintain design standards, workflows and best practices to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Integrate BIM and digital delivery processes into electrical design workflows.
• Support project pursuits through technical expertise, proposal development and client presentations.

• Demonstrated track record of delivering design packages on time and within budget.
