Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Core42 is a leader in AI‑powered cloud and digital infrastructure. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, provision and manage scalable infrastructure, applications and automation across multiple projects, working closely with engineering, security and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor DevOps engineers and contribute to strategic initiatives, technical planning, architecture decisions and technology roadmaps.
• Partner with software and platform engineering teams to design technology stacks and enable secure, efficient application deployment.
• Design and manage scalable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible or equivalent technologies.
• Build and maintain reliable end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using GitLab CI/CD or comparable platforms.
• Evaluate delivery processes, service maturity and performance indicators, identifying gaps and implementing actionable improvements.
• Work with Security teams to strengthen infrastructure and application protection against cybersecurity threats.
• Create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation, standards and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with process and operations teams to standardize working practices and improve cross‑team delivery efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of hands‑on DevOps engineering experience in Linux‑based environments.
• Strong cloud experience across Azure and AWS; professional‑level certifications are highly desirable.
• Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Ansible or comparable tools.
• Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI/CD and GitOps practices.
• Advanced programming and scripting skills using Python, Go and/or Bash.
• Advanced experience with container technologies and Kubernetes.
• Experience with modern monitoring and logging tools.
