Senior Director, Local Shops (MENA)

About the role

Talabat is seeking a commercially driven Senior Director to lead and scale its Local Shops (Grocery & Retail Marketplace) across the MENA region. You will own the P&L, shape growth strategy, and work closely with market, product, and operations teams to unlock new revenue levers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the regional Local Shops P&L and reporting lines for eight country heads and Instashop UAE & Egypt.
• Develop and execute joint business plans and quarterly reviews with key strategic accounts to drive GMV and profit growth.
• Set and monitor commercial performance targets (GMV, GP, NCR investment) and implement corrective actions.
• Co‑lead inventory management and fulfillment strategy with regional operations, aligning commercial goals with technology execution.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, content, and delivery teams to expand assortment and launch new shop formats.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in commercial strategy for marketplace, grocery, or retail businesses.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale P&L and delivering profitable growth.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing, multi‑geography teams.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and stakeholder‑management skills.
