Senior Electrical Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Senior Electrical Estimation Engineer will lead the cost evaluation and bid preparation for electrical projects within the oil & gas EPC sector. You will work closely with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to deliver accurate, competitive proposals for high‑voltage, medium‑voltage and low‑voltage systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender ITBs, specifications, drawings and schedules to fully understand project requirements.
• Obtain and negotiate quotes from manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost sheets covering direct, indirect and temporary costs.
• Analyse datasheets, single‑line diagrams, specifications and cable schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local standards and regulations (ADNOC, ADDC, AADC, ADM, DEWA, SEWA).
• Identify commercial risks in contract documents and propose mitigation measures.
• Mentor junior estimation engineers and support their technical development.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in electrical engineering estimation, preferably in oil & gas EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV equipment, substation and overhead line works.
• Familiarity with UAE utility and ADNOC standards.
• Proven ability to prepare accurate BOQs and cost sheets.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
