Senior Engine Performance Engineer

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Senior Engine Performance Engineer to join its POWERTECH centre of excellence. You will lead thermodynamic cycle analysis for turbofan engines, supporting design, optimisation and validation from concept through certification and in‑service support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed engine thermodynamic cycle models.
• Define engine deck, operating envelopes and performance targets.
• Collaborate with the aircraft performance team to optimise specific fuel consumption, thrust, thermal efficiency and mission performance.
• Advise on turbofan architecture design and ensure system integration consistency.
• Support test planning, instrumentation and post‑test analysis.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Turbomachinery or Fluid Dynamics.
• 8+ years of experience in turbofan architecture, compressor/turbine matching and engine operability.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Preferred experience in gas‑turbine thermodynamics, aircraft propulsion integration and AI‑assisted design methods.
