Senior Engineer – Asset & SPIR Coordination

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead asset information management and SPIR (Spare Parts & Interchangeability Record) coordination for its oil and gas facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures accurate, standardized data across the asset lifecycle, supporting safe operations, regulatory compliance, and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain asset databases, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
• Coordinate SPIR activities, reviewing and validating data received from OEMs and vendors.
• Standardize spare‑part specifications to guarantee interchangeability across assets.
• Liaise with engineering, maintenance, procurement, and operations teams to align data with project and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, company policies, and OEM requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of procurement and expediting experience within EPC or PMC projects.
• At least 5 years of offshore project experience.
• Proven track record in PMC/client‑representative roles in the oil & gas sector.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SPIR coordination and asset information management.
