Senior Engineer, Construction (Telecom)

About the role

Penspen is hiring an experienced Senior Engineer, Construction (Telecom) based in Abu Dhabi to oversee telecommunications works for oil and gas projects, ensuring safe, timely, and quality execution in line with project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction work packages.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, engineering teams, and other disciplines.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Manage inspections, system integration, completion, and handover activities.
• Resolve technical and site‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the GCC region.
• Proven experience in similar senior construction telecom positions.
• Extensive knowledge of oil & gas pipeline projects.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements and industry codes/standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
