Senior Engineer – Energy Management

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Energy Management will lead the development, design and continuous improvement of ADNOC Logistics & Services' Energy Management System for its ocean‑going fleet. The role ensures compliance with maritime regulations, drives energy‑efficiency projects and supports the company’s sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse hull, propeller and auxiliary system performance using automated logging data and daily reports.
• Prepare daily and monthly energy performance reports, highlighting opportunities for operational improvement.
• Lead energy‑efficiency projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely benefits and alignment with strategic goals.
• Maintain and update the Energy Management System to meet international certification standards (e.g., ISO 50001, IMO).
• Conduct energy audits, technical assessments and retro‑fitting activities across the fleet.
• Represent the company in regulatory forums and liaise with classification societies and technology providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maritime energy management and proven delivery of energy‑optimization projects.
• Professional certifications such as CMVP, CEM or ISO 50001 Lead Auditor are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with ability to convey technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
