Senior Engineer – Maintenance

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Maintenance will lead the development and execution of electrical and instrumentation maintenance programmes to enhance safety, reliability and availability of ADNOC’s assets. The role focuses on reducing downtime, controlling costs and driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and optimise maintenance strategies for electrical and instrument equipment using RCM, FMECA and other structured tools.
• Implement performance‑assurance programmes and corrective action plans for equipment reliability.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical evaluations, contracts and service orders; oversee troubleshooting and major planned maintenance activities.
• Introduce innovative methodologies, AI‑driven predictive maintenance and modern tools to boost productivity.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of chronic electrical and instrument issues and drive corrective actions.
• Manage major shutdown programmes for electrical and instrument systems and integrate them into plant‑wide shutdown plans.
• Provide technical support for new project commissioning, ensuring compliance with standards and cost optimisation.
• Supervise, train and develop the maintenance team to meet functional objectives.
• Contribute to budget preparation and monitor variances.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within an industrial environment.
• Proven ability to develop and implement reliability‑focused maintenance programmes.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Leadership experience in supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
