Senior Engineering Manager – Offshore Project

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the engineering effort for the UZ Islands Offshore Project. Based in Abu Dhabi with an interim relocation to Spain, the role oversees the full project lifecycle from concept through hand‑over, ensuring safety, cost‑effectiveness and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all engineering disciplines – process, mechanical, piping, structural, civil, electrical, instrumentation, telecom and HSE.
• Develop engineering execution plans, schedules and resource forecasts.
• Lead design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, constructability and operability studies.
• Collaborate with the Project Director and Project Manager to meet milestones, monitor progress and mitigate risks.
• Review and approve contractor and vendor engineering deliverables.
• Serve as the primary engineering interface with the client, contractors and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements and client specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
