Senior Facultative Broker

About the role

The Senior Facultative Broker joins Shoryuken’s Broking & Technical Placement team to design, market and execute high‑quality facultative and treaty reinsurance solutions for our clients. You will work across core lines such as Property, Casualty, Construction & Engineering, Marine, Aviation & Transport, and Professional Lines, ensuring placements meet client risk profiles, internal governance and FSRA regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Source, negotiate and secure facultative reinsurance capacity from regional and international reinsurers.
• Prepare and validate technical documentation including slips, cover notes and TOBAs.
• Maintain auditable placement files and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
• Provide structured advisory recommendations and post‑placement support (endorsements, renewals, reinsurer liaison).
• Identify and develop new facultative capacity to support company growth and market expansion.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years (72 months) of experience in reinsurance broking or placement.
• Strong knowledge of FSRA regulatory expectations and reinsurance market practices.
• Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with A‑rated global reinsurers and Lloyd’s syndicates.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills with a client‑focused mindset.
