Senior Finance Manager (MEA)

About the role

Wise is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region, based in Dubai. This individual contributor role will be the first finance position in the region, supporting Wise’s rapid growth and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Group Finance, Reporting & Tax teams to maintain local financial compliance, overseeing audits and regulatory relationships.
• Execute day‑to‑day local financial reporting, ensuring adherence to UAE accounting and tax requirements.
• Develop a deep understanding of regional liquidity management and safeguarding processes.
• Lead the annual statutory audit, handling audit planning, PBC coordination, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
• Set up and manage periodic regulatory reporting for new and existing entities.
• Serve as the primary finance liaison for Regional Expansion, Banking, Compliance, and Product teams, preparing finance for legislative and product changes.
• Partner with Group Finance Product and Accounting to align systems, controls, and processes with regional needs.
• Work with Group FP&A and analytics to build forecasting and performance monitoring for the MEA region.

Required profile

• Proven finance professional with experience in financial controlling, audit, advisory, or management accounting within banking, FinTech, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements, including capital, inter‑company transactions, transfer pricing, and financial risk management.
• Deep understanding of UAE financial reporting standards and IFRS, with expertise in financial controls and industry‑specific regulations.
• Ability to analyse data, improve internal controls, and manage complex stakeholder groups such as the Board, Auditors, and Advisors.
