Associate – Audit & Assurance – Financial Instruments (Dubai)

About the role

In this position you will support client proposals and manage day‑to‑day audit engagements, working closely with senior staff to address accounting, reporting and operational issues for financial instrument clients in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with financial instrument testing and documentation on external audit engagements.
• Research accounting treatment for treasury transactions under senior guidance.
• Prepare hedge accounting and derivative valuation analyses for senior review.
• Perform control testing and documentation across the treasury lifecycle.
• Execute audit procedures on derivative valuations, hedge accounting, IFRS 9/FRS 102 applications and impairment models.
• Research technical accounting and auditing queries and summarise findings for senior review.
• Build relationships with corporate clients while delivering high‑quality service.
• Contribute ideas to improve treasury audit methodology and ways of working.
• Collaborate with colleagues across service lines and geographies to support client‑focused solutions.
• Apply AI tools in an audit context, ensuring professional scepticism and compliance with responsible AI standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem‑solving and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
• Team player able to work with professionals at all levels.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (reading, speaking and writing).
