Senior Full-Stack Web Developer

About the role

Orbitworks is looking for a senior full‑stack web developer to lead the design and implementation of customer‑oriented software that supports mission tasking, data access, analytics and downstream services for its satellite manufacturing business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of Orbitworks’ “Solutions” software stack, defining scalable front‑end and back‑end architectures for customer‑facing applications.
• Build highly interactive front‑end applications and performant back‑end APIs for order management, geospatial datalake systems and AI‑enabled processing.
• Implement containerised deployment pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes, and support CI/CD and Agile workflows.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, mission operations and data teams to ensure performance, scalability and operational readiness.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record leading complex full‑stack projects.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, performance optimisation and cloud‑native environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities, autonomous work style and fluent English communication.

Required skills

• JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, FastAPI.
• Python.

• PostgreSQL / PostGIS and other geospatial data technologies (Mapbox, MapLibre, OpenLayers, QGIS, GDAL, STAC, OGC standards).
