Senior Generative AI Sales Specialist – AWS

About the role

Join Amazon Web Services to drive the adoption of Generative AI across Sub‑Saharan Africa. You will combine deep technical AI knowledge with a customer‑centric sales approach to create new revenue streams and help organisations transform their businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify high‑value AI opportunities within the assigned territory and build a sustainable pipeline.
• Translate complex Generative AI capabilities into clear business value for customers in sectors such as finance, mining, telecom, energy, retail and public services.
• Lead full‑cycle sales engagements—from qualified lead generation to closing and post‑sale adoption.
• Collaborate with Line of Business, Data Science and IT stakeholders to design and launch AI solutions.
• Develop account plans, win strategies and execution road‑maps that align with customer initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through the technical and operational aspects of AI deployment at scale.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling AI/ML or cloud solutions to enterprise customers.
• Strong technical understanding of Generative AI, foundation models and large language models.
• Customer‑focused mindset with excellent consultative selling skills.
• Ability to work across diverse markets and navigate emerging‑economy challenges.
• Senior‑level communication skills to earn trust with business, data science and IT personas.
