Senior GL Accountant

About the role

GFAD is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Senior GL Accountant to join its growing healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for finance professionals with strong general ledger accounting expertise and prior experience within the healthcare or hospital sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities and General Ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed assets management and inventory accounting.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure VAT and Corporate Tax compliance in accordance with UAE regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning initiatives.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of accounting and finance experience.
• Prior experience within a hospital, healthcare, or healthcare group environment highly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle ERP (EBS/Fusion), SAP, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
