Senior Hook‑Up Engineer – Construction & Completion

About the role

The Senior Hook‑Up Engineer will lead the hook‑up discipline, supporting the Hook‑Up Lead and Manager to deliver construction and completion activities during the hook‑up phase. This role ensures that all installations, material handling, and commissioning tasks are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review hook‑up job cards, ensuring prerequisites and sequential installations are defined.
• Develop discipline‑specific work breakdown structures (WBS) and hook‑up schedules, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Review construction work packs, material requisitions, and design material take‑offs (MTOs) for compliance.
• Coordinate delivery of materials to yards, ports, offshore sites, and on‑shore locations.
• Monitor progress registers, constructability logs, and risk assessments on a weekly basis.
• Liaise with warehouse, fabrication, and material teams to verify material tags, inspections, and handovers.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support project management and procurement for timely resource availability.
• Ensure adherence to industry codes, environmental standards, and safety procedures throughout hook‑up operations.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in hook‑up engineering within construction or offshore projects.
• Strong ability to lead a discipline, manage interfaces, and guide junior engineers.
• Excellent understanding of construction work packs, material logistics, and project scheduling.
• Demonstrated competence in risk assessment and compliance with industry standards.
