Senior Internal Auditor – Integrated Management System

About the role

ADNOC Group is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to lead Integrated Management System (IMS) audits across its operations in Abu Dhabi. The role involves developing audit plans, executing audits, and ensuring conformity with certified management system standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update the Internal Audit charter, standards, policies, procedures, and IMS audit methodology.
• Create the annual IMS audit plan in coordination with the Internal Audit Manager.
• Maintain the IMS audit universe covering organisational models, processes, standards, applications, projects and objectives.
• Plan and lead IMS audits, acting as Lead Auditor and supervising sub‑ordinates and consultants.
• Prepare audit planning documents, define audit scope, and develop process understanding for facilities such as the Shah Gas Plant.
• Conduct interviews, surveys and workshops to assess business, conformity and compliance risks.
• Execute audits according to the approved programme, gather evidence, and formulate recommendations.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of controls, risk management, governance and management systems, adjusting audit scope as needed.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in internal audit, preferably within the energy or industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of Integrated Management System standards and audit methodologies.
• Proven ability to develop audit plans and manage audit teams.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess risks and control effectiveness.
