Senior IT Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior IT Procurement Officer will lead the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle for the Information Technology department of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. This position is open to UAE nationals only and reports directly to senior stakeholders, ensuring timely and cost‑effective acquisition of IT goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Receive RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters and solicit proposals from vendors.
• Conduct vendor communication, negotiation and attend meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Prepare procurement plans, create contracts, negotiate terms and issue purchase orders.
• Coordinate vendor registration and account updates with the Vendor Management & Compliance Programme (VMCP).
• Utilise SAP Ariba for RFPs, contract workspaces and reverse auctions.
• Maintain contract database, ensure proper archiving and support audit compliance.
• Assist internal customers across categories, prepare reports and attend relevant meetings.

Required profile

• UAE national with proven IT procurement experience.
• Preferred CIPS qualification or active membership.
• Banking experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of procurement policies, contract management and audit requirements.
