Senior Manager – Airfield Design

About the role

The Senior Manager – Airfield Design will lead the planning and engineering of Dubai Airport’s airside infrastructure, ensuring safe, efficient and future‑ready solutions that meet international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning and design of runways, taxiways, aircraft stands, GSE roads and related airside facilities.
• Provide technical direction and engineering oversight from concept through detailed design.
• Identify, evaluate and mitigate engineering and operational risks throughout project lifecycles.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with ICAO and GCAA regulations.
• Communicate technical requirements and advise stakeholders on design decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Airport or Transportation Engineering; postgraduate qualification in Airport Engineering preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant airfield engineering experience and 7–10 years total professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of airfield design principles, regulatory compliance and airport capacity optimisation.
• Proven experience with master planning, design assurance and aircraft compatibility assessments.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
