Senior Manager Corporate Credit Risk & Structured Lending

About the role

HSBC is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Corporate Credit Risk function in the UAE, focusing on a corporate portfolio and specialised structured lending. This highly technical position requires strong underwriting expertise, deep product knowledge, and the ability to adapt to evolving market structures.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise delegated lending authority and make credit decisions that align with HSBC’s risk appetite.
• Underwrite and oversee complex structured and specialised lending transactions.
• Manage portfolio asset quality, monitor high‑risk exposures, and ensure timely impairments.
• Lead risk coverage for venture debt, project finance, leveraged finance, SEF and other specialised products.
• Collaborate with business, product, and policy teams to shape risk appetite and provide early‑stage guidance.
• Analyse sector trends and market developments to anticipate emerging risks.
• Engage with key UAE clients and support account planning initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate credit risk and structured lending.
• Proven ability to manage complex credit portfolios and mitigate risk.
