Senior Manager – Financial Risk Management

About the role

KPMG Middle East is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Financial Risk Management projects across market and liquidity risk domains. The role involves overseeing multiple engagements, mentoring staff, and contributing to business development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple Financial Risk Management (FRM) projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Own and implement initiatives related to market and liquidity risk for senior client stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop less‑experienced staff through training and advisory support.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of risk advisory services and financial industry developments.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, supporting pre‑sales activities and proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Applied Mathematics or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in financial risk management or quantitative analysis within financial institutions or consulting firms.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM or CFA are advantageous.
• Proven leadership experience managing risk‑focused teams and delivering high‑quality client outcomes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SAS, VBA and MATLAB.
• Strong financial modeling capabilities and experience with quantitative analytics.
• Hands‑on experience with market risk models (VaR, FRTB, stress testing) and liquidity risk frameworks (ILAAP, IRRBB, XVA).
