Senior Manager – Global Social Media Strategy

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for a visionary Senior Manager to own and drive its global social media strategy. Reporting to the Director of Brand, Creative & Social, you will shape a social‑first approach that strengthens brand affinity and supports the airline’s growth ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global social media strategy aligned with brand and commercial goals.
• Create a social media playbook, leveraging audience insights, analytics and emerging platform opportunities.
• Translate Etihad’s brand strategy into a consistent, premium presence across all social channels.
• Oversee content creation, calendar planning and campaign execution to meet business objectives.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, turning performance data into actionable business insights and ROI reports.
• Lead real‑time coverage of high‑profile events, partnerships and influencer collaborations.
• Coach and develop a high‑performing team of social media specialists.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading social media strategy for a large, consumer‑facing brand.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into business impact.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, working with executives, agencies and creators.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop high‑performing teams.
