Senior Marine Pipelines Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Marine Pipelines Engineer to lead offshore pipeline design activities in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design packages while mentoring a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Work under the Lead Engineer, coordinating with engineers and designers to ensure project delivery.
• Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) documents for pre‑engineering surveys and verify field survey compliance.
• Develop Offshore Pipeline Basis of Design, route selection, and coating selection studies.
• Design pipeline wall thickness, on‑bottom stability, cathodic protection, and high‑pressure gas line systems following the latest DNV standards.
• Perform upheaval and lateral buckling analysis, riser flexibility and VIV studies, and riser fatigue design.
• Conduct pipeline crossing analysis using AUTOPIPE and support pipeline laying and riser installation studies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore pipeline design (Conceptual, FEED, Detailed).
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience preparing SOWs, reviewing geophysical/geotechnical reports, and delivering technical guidance.

Required skills

• DNV standards for offshore pipelines.
• ABAQUS FEM software (preferred for buckling analysis).
• AUTOPIPE for pipeline crossing design.
• VIV analysis and riser fatigue design methodologies.
