Senior Mechanic – Base Heavy Maintenance

About the role

Emirates is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanic to join its Base Heavy Maintenance team. You will work alongside Aircraft Technicians and Licensed Aircraft Engineers to service EK and third‑party aircraft in compliance with GCAA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic servicing of aircraft without supervision, following manufacturer and company procedures.
• Assist with component replacements under the guidance of licensed engineers.
• Inspect, record and rectify ground equipment issues.
• Communicate with operating crew for refuelling and routine servicing, including technical log completion.
• Carry out transit, daily, weekly and service checks on EK aircraft.
• Maintain tools, equipment and systems (including Ultramain) in good condition.
• Ensure a safe work environment by monitoring the area and taking corrective actions.

Required profile

• Vocational, National or Higher National Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance within an engineering environment.
• Basic knowledge of airframe, power‑plant and technical equipment.
• Completed Human Factors, GCAA air leg and fuel‑tank awareness training.
• Ability to work independently and communicate fluently in English.
• Valid Airport Driving Permit.
