Senior Negotiation Consultant – Strategic Procurement

About the role

As a Senior Negotiation Consultant in Siemens Energy’s Corporate Strategic Procurement department, you will lead high‑impact negotiations with key suppliers, shaping contracts that deliver cost savings, risk mitigation and stronger commercial terms. You will act as the go‑to expert for complex deals, providing both hands‑on execution and strategic guidance to senior procurement leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute negotiation strategies for complex supplier contracts, focusing on cost optimization, risk mitigation and improved commercial terms.
• Lead critical supplier negotiations and advise procurement leaders on objectives, trade‑offs, escalation strategies and desired outcomes.
• Establish and maintain consistent negotiation standards, methodologies and best practices across the organization.
• Coach, train and share knowledge to build negotiation capabilities throughout the company.
• Translate negotiation outcomes into enhanced commodity, supplier and overall procurement strategies.
• Drive digital innovation and continuous improvement throughout the negotiation lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
• Extensive experience in strategic procurement and high‑stakes commercial negotiations.
• Deep knowledge of negotiation principles, advanced methodologies and strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Proven coaching and collaboration abilities, capable of building cross‑functional and international networks.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
