Senior .NET Engineer

About the role

IC Markets Global is seeking a Senior .NET Engineer to design, develop and optimise highly scalable, low‑latency micro‑services that power real‑time trading applications. You will work within an Agile squad, collaborating with product owners and scrum masters to deliver robust, secure and performant solutions for a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build .NET Core micro‑services with high scalability and performance.
• Implement multithreading, async patterns and event‑driven designs using Kafka, AWS SQS or RabbitMQ.
• Optimise systems for low‑latency, high‑throughput trading workloads.
• Ensure thread safety, fault tolerance and efficient data‑stream processing.
• Apply architectural patterns such as Clean Architecture, Vertical Slice and CQRS.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and refine requirements with PO/SM.
• Write maintainable, test‑driven code and conduct code reviews.
• Maintain strong unit, integration and performance test coverage.
• Implement OpenTelemetry for tracing, metrics and logs.
• Build monitoring dashboards with Prometheus, Grafana and Kibana.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience focused on .NET Core and C#.
• Deep expertise in multithreaded and asynchronous programming in distributed systems.
• Proven experience designing domain‑driven micro‑services using Clean or Vertical Slice Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of event‑driven systems and messaging frameworks (Kafka, AWS SQS, RabbitMQ).
• Hands‑on experience with observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and Git version control.
